I Love Picture Books Reading Challenge 2015

Dates: January 1 - December 31, 2015
Hosted by: Gina @ Book Dragon's Lair

I DO love picture books. Guess I never really grew up, but some of my favorite reads are still the lovely illustrated storybooks I first discovered as a child. But there are hundreds more I'd like to take a look at, so I'm signing up for the I Love Picture Books 2015 Reading Challenge.

As Gina says, this reading challenge is for "all of you who still love picture books but find they don't qualify for your other challenges. . . You know you're going to read them, they might as well count!"

Planning to read at least 12 books, but hoping to do better than that.

See the challenge announcement page for all the info and to sign up. During the year, I'll be tracking my progress over on my challenge blog. I'll also put my "hope-to-read" list there, if you're looking for ideas.

  1. You are killing me here -- another challenge that looks interesting! I think I have an unfair advantage here, though -- at the library every week with Bean insures that I read lots of picture books. I might sign up.

    1. You should definitely sign up! This one would be really easy for you, and you could give me lots of ideas about books to read.

    2. I did! And yes, I can make many recommendations. Start with "Today I Will Fly" by Mo Willems, author of the pigeon books which you might enjoy also. We just discovered the PIggie and Elephant books as a recommendation by Miss Betsy, one of the children's librarians at the library we go to, as an option to nudge SOMEBODY into being an active reader. It is really a funny book as are most of the offerings by this author.

Welcome and thanks for leaving me a comment. I love to hear from visitors.

Also, please note that while I appreciate the thought, I don't play the blog awards game. I think you all deserve awards! But you might think about becoming a follower of my blog -- that would really be the best award.
