- Read in the last two weeks:
Book of Shadows. Alexandra Sokoloff. Working on a review of this one. Read it for the RIP/V Challenge - a mystery with a Halloween setting and paranormal elements, perfect for this time of year.
After Claude, by Iris Owens. This was an Early Reviewer book from Library Thing. I should have a review up, over there, later today. I'll probably wait until a little closer to the November release date before I post a review on my blog. Strange book - haven't really decided exactly how I feel about it. - Recent reviews:
The Inheritance, by Simon Tolkien. Interesting mystery novel set in 1950s England and France, by J.R.R.'s grandson. See my review here. - Reading this week:
I'm determined to finish up Stephen King's The Dark Half this week.
Also want to start on the ARC of Kate Morton's The Distant Hours - I might be taking that along on the trip (it's such a chunkster, it just might need its own bag!).
It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. If you want to let the world know what books you're going to be reading this week, head on over to her blog and leave your link. It's also a great way to discover new books and new blogs.
I did not have a great reading week either. I'm trying to recover from being gone for 3 weeks!!
ReplyDeleteNice review on The Inheritance...I've been wondering about that book. Guess I'll give it a try. I'm currently reading "Stronger Than Sin" (author Caridad PiƱeiro). The book is a intriguing mix of romance, paranormal, science fiction and medical suspense. I can't seem to put it down!
ReplyDeleteI drew a blank on The Dark Half when I first saw it here. Thought I knew all of Stephen King books! Will stay posted to hear what you think of it.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Monday post. Have a great reading week :)
I can't wait to see what you think of The Distant Hours!
ReplyDeleteHAVE A GREAT TRIP!!!!

Book of shadows does seem like a great read for this time of year!
ReplyDeleteNice mixture of books there! Not listed on my post are the ton and a half of peer reviewed journal articles I read. Here's what I'm reading this week.
ReplyDeleteGreat review on The Inheritance! I read that back in late spring/early summer and really enjoyed it. Here's my Monday, if you care to stop by: http://myreadersblock.blogspot.com/2010/10/its-almost-monday-what-are-you-reading.htm
ReplyDeleteI either totally love or really hate Stephen King books. Dark Half is one that I just hated the ending. Hope you like it better than I did!
