The Asylum. John Harwood
The Bookman's Tale. Charlie Lovett
The Innocent Sleep. Karen Perry
The Thief of Always. Clive Barker
I'm enjoying all of them ﹣ just can't settle down to any one long enough to get it finished. I'm hoping my "slump" will end with the winter ﹣ assuming this winter DOES eventually END.
It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. If you want to let the world know what books you're going to be reading this week, head on over to her blog and leave your link. It's also a great way to discover new books and new blogs.
I've been antsy lately, too - maybe it is the weather.
ReplyDeleteIt will end -- both the winter and your reading slump. I find I read more during the winter though however, I think our entire beings are completely confused with this odd weather pattern we are having. I suggest you close the blinds, start a fire in the fireplace and cuddle up with one of the books and one of two things will happen -- you will either get "into" the book or you will fall sound asleep -- either one a good option!
ReplyDeleteThe Bookman's Tale is high on my wishlist.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your reading slump... hope the weather will turn for the better soon. Hearing all those terrible stories about the winter I can totally imagine you guys being fed up with it.
Just read the synopsis for "The Asylum" on Goodreads -- I will be picking it up later. BTW -the throw you sent me coupled with the lovely mugs full of hot cocoa make wonderful reading companions! The best of all creature comforts!
ReplyDeleteHope your reading slump breaks soon!
ReplyDeleteI hope you like The Innocent Sleep....I'm sorry about the reading slump. I had a slow reading week a couple of weeks ago, but now it has picked up. I've decided that I do better if I mix mysteries with lighter reads.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog.
