Time Out of Joint, by Philip K. Dick
This is going to be a busy week for us — lots of stuff to do around the house. But I think I should be able to sneak in a little reading. The book I'm reading now is one of the books I've got on my list for the Monthly Key Word Reading Challenge:
Pale Horse, Pale Rider, by Katherine Anne Porter
So far, I'm enjoying this one. It's been on my TBR pile for quite a while now, so it'll qualify for the Mount TBR Challenge, too. And speaking of reading challenges, now that we're approaching midyear, I guess it's time to take a look at how I'm doing in that area. At the moment, I think I'm on track with most of my challenges. And that's definitely a little unusual for me.
It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is now hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. If you want to let the world know what you're going to be reading this week, head on over to her blog and leave your link. It's also a great way to discover new books and new blogs.
Both books are new to me. Enjoy them all and have a good week.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your reading...both books look tempting. Thanks for sharing, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books, its ok not finishing anything as yet. Some days I can read a book in a day other times it takes me a whole week to read one book. No pressure, just enjoy!

I'm sure the Dick novel will be interesting. I've only read one of his, "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep". I'm currently plugging away at a substantial history of Mexico, and relaxing by breezing through a series I enjoyed in middle school -- mostly for nostalgia, but also out of curisosity to see how it'd aged. So far, the only big hiccough is the lack of cell phones, which would have made a few crises easier to handle..
ReplyDeleteI've read a bunch of PK Dick but not this one. Have a good week. My weekly update
