He was totally into fantasy and scifi which I thought were odd so I made a point to stay away from them. It's a shame. I missed out on many good books, like The Hobbit. It's about time I pick a few of them up.Petuniahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14059145750315789676noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20402592.post-6825871702581248382008-08-04T11:19:00.000-05:002008-08-04T11:19:00.000-05:00I was just the same as you with A Wrinkle in Time....I was just the same as you with A Wrinkle in Time. I resisted reading it as a kid because I didn't read sci-fi, but I read it last year for Banned Book Week and just absolutely loved it. Like "where have you been all my life" loved it. I hope you do too! :-)Marie Cloutierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14938166831865436287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20402592.post-39478630212398954132008-08-04T05:20:00.000-05:002008-08-04T05:20:00.000-05:00I found A Wrinkle in Time very much of its time- ...I found A Wrinkle in Time very much of its time- early cold war overtones. It sounds like an interesting book and I do like historical fiction. Sometimes though, even books I am enjoying, just don't quite hold my interest the way I might like. Too many distractions, I suppose.

Have a wonderful week!Literary Felinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13079276242303738719noreply@blogger.com
