It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. If you want to let the world know what you're going to be reading this week, head on over to her blog and leave your link. It's also a great way to discover new books and new blogs.

OK, last Monday reading report of the year.  And, to be honest, I'm really not reading much of anything right now.  Still too much holiday-ing going on around here.  Just before Christmas I started one of Arthur C. Clarke's early classics, The City and the Stars. Haven't gotten very far along, but I've enjoyed the little I've read.

Lately, what I've mostly been doing (besides visiting, decorating, shopping, cooking, and generally just celebrating the season) is obsessing about all the 2015 reading challenges popping up now.  I've signed up for fourteen so far, and there are a couple more I'm thinking about.

Yes. I. Am. Addicted.

So, has the holiday season done a number on your reading routine? Or do you manage to make time for reading, no matter what else is going on?

  1. I got caught up with 2014 challenges and found it too hard to maintain it all year, so I've toned down for 2015.
    Good luck!!

  2. Good Luck with your reading challenges! There seems to be a lull between Christmas and New Years. I had a difficult time focusing on reading before the holidays, but I'm looking forward to reading more at the start of the new year. Happy New Year!

  3. Actually, this year at least, I have used reading as an escape from the holidays. I was pretty organized (that translates into "I didn't do much shopping") so it didn't really bite into my reading time. What I didn't do a whole lot of was movie watching.

  4. OMG! 14 challenges! I only had three in 2014, down from previous years, and I only finished two of them. So I'd better stay challenge-free!

Enjoy...and I am curious about The City and the Stars.

  5. I am still reading lots over the holiday season. My holiday celebrations were modest and quiet. I have decided to be challenge-free again in 2015. It removed a lot of pressure from my life to not do challenges in 2014. Good luck with all the ones you signed up for. You can see my week here. Have a great week and happy new year!

  7. I think the challenges are probably like those end of the year lists - you start looking at one and soon you have 20 of them!

Welcome and thanks for leaving me a comment. I love to hear from visitors.

Also, please note that while I appreciate the thought, I don't play the blog awards game. I think you all deserve awards! But you might think about becoming a follower of my blog -- that would really be the best award.
