Teaser Tuesdays: A Little Time Travel

OK, I know it's almost not Tuesday anymore, but I'm just now getting around to this. Teaser Tuesdays is hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading, and the rules are these:
  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
  • Please avoid spoilers!

This week my two teasers come from The Time Traveler's Wife, by Audrey Niffenegger (p. 109):

I remember her sitting on a bench in Warren Park while my dad pushed me on a swing, and she bobbed close and far, close and far.
One of the best and most painful things about time traveling has been the opportunity to see my mother alive.
The two sentences come at the end of one paragraph and the beginning of another. I've really just started the book so I'm not sure what's going on, but so far it seems like a pretty good read.

  1. My Tuesday Teaser came on Wednesday last week ... that old "day late, dollar short" thing!

I have *The Time Traveler's Wife* in my bookcase, borrowed from a friend (who I hope doesn't need it back any time soon!)

    My teaser is here.

  2. I absolutely fell in love with this book...looking forward to what you think when you're finished.

I plan on reading all of Austen's books this year!! I bought Northanger Abby when B&N use to see them for like 3.00 and they fit into your hand perfectly and the edges of the paper are gold...absolutely beautiful book!!

  4. I loved that book. Great teaser! I hope the movie does the book any sort of justice.

    Happy reading!

Welcome and thanks for leaving me a comment. I love to hear from visitors.

Also, please note that while I appreciate the thought, I don't play the blog awards game. I think you all deserve awards! But you might think about becoming a follower of my blog -- that would really be the best award.
